On November 16, in front of another big audience on the NBC network, 36-year old heavyweight contender Tomasz Adamek (49-2, 29 KOs) will be tested by unbeaten, eight years younger Vyacheslaw “The Czar” Glazkov (15-0, 11 KsO). Ukrainian Glazkov, a silver medal winner at the 2007 World Championships, bronze medalist at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, wants what Adamek already has – a world class reputation and high world ranking. Adamek, a former WBC light heavyweight champion and IBF cruiserweight champion, wants another shot at heavyweight belt. “Glazkov is strong, he can hit, he likes to mix it up. It’s a fact. How will he handle my movement, my hand speed, my experience and precision – it’s a different story. But it sounds like fight everyone would like to see,” said Adamek in interview.

Tomasz Adamek's opponent for the August 3, NBC Sports Network Fight Night card has been confirmed. Adamek, 48-2, 29 KO's, will take on Tony Grano, 20-3-1, 16 KO's, in Grano's own hometown in a 10-round heavyweight challenge. The number of Tomasz's legion of loyal Polish boxing fans may well rival the popular Grano's hometown crowd. One thing is certain, the house will be rocking at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, CT.

Fans knew they were witnessing something special before the start of the fifth round of Manny Pacquiao-Juan Manuel Marquez IV.

What many fans and members of the boxing media thought would be replay of third bout last November, a tit-for-tat boxing match that went to a controversial decision, had become a high-level shootout. Both multi-division champs were clearly looking to inflict as much damage as possible with every punch.

Tomasz Adamek defeated Steve Cunningham by a split decision Saturday afternoon in Bethlehem, Pa., on NBC, the Pole’s second split-decision victory over Cunningham. Adamek received the nod when they met as cruiserweights in 2008.
